Meet the Team
Sabrina Sandhu, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Evening and weekend appointments available
Sabrina believes every child and teen deserves a space where they feel understood just as they are.
Sabrina offers evening and weekend appointments, creating more flexible options for children, youth and families balancing school, work and busy weekday schedules. Sheila coordinates free 15-minute consultations for prospective clients who want to ask about fit, the Sunny Spot team and current availability.
About Sabrina
Sabrina supports children, youth and families navigating anxiety, big emotions, emotional regulation, life transitions, grief and self-esteem. She also brings three and a half years of experience as a Behaviour Interventionist, supporting autistic children and children with ADHD in building regulation and social-emotional skills.
That work sits alongside Sunny Spot's child counselling and youth counselling, where young people can begin at a pace that feels safe.
How Sabrina works
Sabrina takes a relationship-based, strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming approach. She gets to know each child as an individual, builds trust through their interests and strengths, and uses play, creativity and conversation to help them feel safe and understood. You can read more about this way of working on our philosophy page.
Working with caregivers
With caregivers, Sabrina leads with curiosity and without judgment. She works alongside parents to understand what may be happening beneath behaviour and identify practical ways to support their child. Families who want more focused guidance can also explore parent support and free parent resources.
Outside the counselling room
Outside the counselling room, Sabrina teaches Lagree fitness classes and enjoys spending time with family, working out and travelling.
Ask about fit and current availability
A free 15-minute consultation is for prospective new clients who want to ask about fit, the Sunny Spot team and current availability. Counselling sessions themselves are not free. Sheila coordinates these conversations for the team.
Ready to talk about what support could look like?
The consultation is a short conversation about fit and availability. It is not a counselling session.
