Behaviour Intervention & Parent Support
Understanding behaviour as communication and unmet needs.
Looking Beneath the Surface
Drawing from her 9 years of experience in behaviour intervention as a Behaviour Interventionist and Behaviour Therapist, Sheila looks beyond the surface behaviour (the "what") to understand the function and sensory needs (the "why").
We provide practical, neurodiversity-affirming behavioural strategies that respect the child's dignity while creating a more peaceful home and school environment. This includes creating visual schedules, token economies, transition plans, and sensory diets.
This work is closely connected to child counselling, where behaviour is understood within a warm, relationship-first space. Families often pair it with parent coaching to carry strategies confidently into daily routines.
Professional Collaboration
A child's growth is supported best when their whole village works together. Sheila actively collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent, wrap-around support across all environments. We partner closely with:
Bridging the Gap: To ensure that therapeutic strategies translate into real-world success, Sheila is available to attend school meetings (including IEPs), conduct school and daycare observations, and help develop cohesive, evidence-based behaviour and emotional regulation plans that work seamlessly between home, school, and clinic.
